The project aims to assist the Government of Azerbaijan improve its capacity to prepare for and effectively respond to the natural disasters that the country is prone to. |

Impact of Project |
The project is contributing to the promotion of the concept of sustainable development and the Government has significantly improved its approach to dealing with disaster management-oriented policy issues. Although a fully functioning disaster management authority has not been established as yet, it is expected that a set of proposals on introducing a disaster management institution will be considered and approved by the Government soon. |
