Azerbaijan's National TV and Radio Council [NTRC] today made a decision to issue a licence for broadcasting on the territory of the country to the radio stations the Voice of America and Liberty Radio on the frequency 101.7 FM for one year, says an NTRC press release.
Also today, the NTRC summed up the results of a competition for broadcasting in Lankaran and neighbouring districts on the 29th frequency. The limited liability company Canub TV was announced winner of the competition. The competition was announced on 20 July 2007 because of the recall of the licence of the channel Lankaran TV as it had violated current legislation.
