ILHAM ALIYEV: KARABAKH CONFLICT TO BE SETTLED WHEN ARMENIA FEELS AZERBAIJAN'S POWER
Turan news agency,
4, March 2008
Azerbaijan's military budget totals $1 billion 30 million and it will further grow. We buy military technique, planes and ammunitions to liberate occupied territories and we must be ready to that," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said today at the ceremony of commission of 16-story house for veterans, Karabakh war invalids and families of martyrs in Khanlar region.
Aliyev said the conflict will be solved peacefully when Armenia feels Azerbaijan's power. The conflict could be settled only within the framework of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. "Time will come and Armenia will agree to that," added Aliyev.
He said that diplomatic efforts are not enough for the conflict settlement. "Norms of international law are violated in the world negatively affecting the conflict settlement. Power is the key factor and we will achieve that," said Aliyev.
